new lightning

I read in a muscle car mag.that the new guy at ford was committed to 2 svt vehicles 1 car & 1 truck .they said they are coming up with a new pushrod motor 6.2 liter because chevy& dodge where able to do so well with a pushrod engine. oh well just thought i would throw that out there .they called the engine the hurricane

That engine project was called Hurricane and then it was shelved for a short time and now it is back. Ford needs a motor that will compete directly with the LS chevy's and the Hemi. I think the motor now MAY be called the Boss.

What ever Ford does it better be good. I have heard the new SRT-10 gets another 60hp this year bringing it up to 560hp.

Its all speculation , so hold on to your L tight and keep the faith. When i see it , Ill believe it. Ford with all the financal problems , isnt likely to embark on a specialty market car such as a revamped Lightning . Most of this is only our hopefullness, that they will. Im sure fast trucks are the last thing on the table. Why not when you can generate millions, selling cookie cutter cars like the rest of the dealers. You can also be sure gas prices will go right back up. Im gonna keep my L and when summer comes , I'll get it out , fill up with gas and smoke the tires .
