Any news on new SVT truck???

Surely some of you Ford insiders know what SVT is planning on coming out with. Has anybody heard anything else about the new lightning or whatever it is they are going to produce? I'm dying to know if I should buy a GT 500 or hold out for a new L.

If they actually made the "Adrenalin" in a 2-door with a 6' bed, and mini-club style like this... it would be pretty cool especially if it had AWD, 400 HP, buckets, floorshift, true dual exhaust, 20" wheels, and maybe 18" behind the seats where you could stick anything from golf clubs to a golden retreiver... just NO REAR SEATS of any kind.

Nice photochop! The adrenalin looks awesome as a 2 door. I agree, keep it to 2 doors, have manual transmission as an option and I'd like to see 450 HP at least. If it's light, it'll still outrun a SRT-10 with that much HP.

Sorry... I'm pretty handy with Photoshop (Industrial Design background), and it was too tempting. Why anyone would want a "Sport" truck with 4 doors is beyond me... but then I was miffed when they started making 4-door sports sedans. I mean... M-Class BMWs should only be 2-doors. Audi started all that nonsense .

But yeah... if Ford is clandestantly poking their noses in here... take a look at what guys with red blood in their veins really want. Family 4-door trucks don't need 400 HP.

Yes they do...500 HP is better and 4 doors makes it able to haul the Grandkids. Try hauling the Grandkids in Nan's 1988 E30 M3 2 door coupe!

The Adrenalin was also due for all wheel drive, but lighter than the current Gen 2s!

Check out the Adrenalin spec at our new website (soon to be opened) www.SVT-Trucks.com

+1 (sorta). No grankids here, but 2 sports cars in the family doesn't always cut it. I loved my L but wished for more space, and while it did manage 4 (*very close* ) friends on short trips. Now that I've got a wife to worry about, relatives to pick up at the airport, etc, the 4 doors of the Adrenalin were () perfect.

That pic is badass. I think that might be the best look concept ever. Nice work!

I think Ford should make a new Lightning with the all-wheel drive package from the new Harley F-150, and drop the GT DOHC 5.4 in it. Although I think they should make and use a new, lighter version of the F-150. And if it looked as good or better than the Gen 2's I would buy one in a second.

I think ford will use the 6.2L hurricane motor in the new L with the cab and drivetrain configuration like the previous 2

Forgot about that....that could be very likely. I'm still hoping for AWD though.

Ok guys I called SVT and tried to get some more info. Here's what I learned if anything. I confirmed that the andrenalin is not ever going to be produced. They scraped that project for good. The guy said there focusing on the GT-500 for awhile and they have a two year run going for it now. At least the 500 hp engine thats in it is out which is a very good sign for the lightning because I originally heard they had problems making the 500hp engine affordable. All they got to do is make the prototype and drop in the gt-500 engine. DONE! Well will see but he gave me the inpression that we wont be seeing a L for at least 2 years and thats if they still call it an L...

Ok, I keep hearing about the "hurricane" motor. Can somebody tell me what makes it so special? What is it? OHC or new pushrod motor? Heads? What?
