My truck went an 11.99 @ 111 mph with a 6lb lower and 2 lb upper, stock blower. It had the other typical mods such as SBTB, ported plenum, electric fans, 2400 stall, chip, cold air etc'.

Your truck is unusually fast for your mods...you must be getting good traction. How much boost do you see?
Where are you racing?

Or is it just a waste of time? I would be putting it right back on when i get home btw.
Whats your launch technique? Very nice times.

Al Walker of NJ went 11.86 on a stock block with unported Eaton that I witnessed. Not sure who has gone faster.

Way back when before any of us were running built motors and before aftermarket and ported blowers, a few of us ran 11.9+ times, it took excellent air and all the bolt-ons. Myself and another L (Cat Daddy) ran 11.98 and 11.96 on the same night, took about 430 "real" RWHP and excellent air.

This is a Trip Down Memory Lane

UnPorted Eaton, Stock Upper Pulley, 2Pound Lower made 435RWHP and ran 12.03@113.
I think I ran 12.4 on F1s.
What was cutting edge back then is Old School now. 2 bank Flip Chips. No Flash Tunes. No Bogarts.
With what we know now and have available to us, I believe that a Gen 2 Lightning could run an eleven with an UnPorted Eaton and stock Pullies.

Okay I ran a 12.80 @ 108.34 mph at the track the other weekend on bald f1's. I cut a 2.013 60 foot on that run. And i can tell the truck has ALOT more in it for sure, and i also throttled it on the 1-2 shift and STILL blew off the tires , as well as a good 10 patch on the 2-3 shift. Based on that mph how do you think i would run on slicks? Could i squeez a 12.30? I think that I could get a 1.6x 60' on slicks, so that is 4 tenths right there to drop it down to a 12.40.

All the runs I ever made trapping 108-109mph range were 12.5-12.6's.

Id love to stay on street tires for as long as possible but its tough. I ran a 12.9 with a 5#, tune, slappers, and basic crap.Im sure you have a low 12 truck. I did my 12.9 @ 105. My highest mph was 107.

Yea It really gets old trying to race with street tires....Btw as you asked before about my launch technique.

For the track: First i do a good burn, let truck shift into 2nd and just hold bout half throttle. Then when your staging get R's up to around 1100-1200 rpm. Then I roll the throttle out around half throttle until around 10 mph and hit it. Just roll into the throttle easily, if you just hammer it all the tq will casue spinning. Usaully cuts 1.9-2.0 60's consistantly

For the street: Do a burnout at a stand still and once your tires are smoking roll the burn out out real slow for about 15 ft. You want to have a good straight 15ft black pactch. Then reverse directly back over you rubber markes. then just launch it like you would a the track. Honestly I did that the other night and it hooked really well, I wouldnt be surprised if i cut a 1.8 on that street run.
