I felt lucky just to see this truck in person, I've invited him to the track on OCT. 25th and I will be sure to let you all know if he goes or not.

A buddy of mine was at a car show in Edmond last weekend I believe. He said the guy was pretty cocky and claiming it to be a solid 9 sec. truck. I dont think I've seen or heard of that truck running 9's or has it...??

I'd be cocky too if my truck had a built 32v mod motor with a marine quad rotor lysholm blower sitting on top. I don't see how he couldn't run 9's with some sticky tires.

Takes A LOT more than just power to run 9's without spending A LOT of time on the suspension. I cant stand people that are cocky to a point where people are pushed away. Its one thing to be proud.............

yA That thing sounds like a jet engine when moving, I had to turn my speaker down a bit---I wonder what it would be like in action at the track

Thought I should bring this thread back to life.

Went to his ship today to get a s/c that I bought rebuilt but that is a whole 'nother story. On the wall he had the spec sheet for his L and it listed his best ET as 10.5@128. Unfortunately the L wasn't in the shop while I was there but he did have a 550 rwhp GT500 and a turbo 03 cobra sitting above it (not dyno'd)

He was able to show me a comparison of my eaton vs. a 2.3 KB and I think it's time I start saving up. He didn't have any 2.6's in the shop but I like what I saw regardless.

I'd like to see a video of it doing something a stock L won't do. Brake melting stationary burnouts just aren't that cool. That's still a sweet ride.

Seeing that truck and hearing about the owner's attitude reminds me of a guy that used to come to our events in Tulsa. First he showed up with a gen 1 that had a "tunnel port NASCAR 427" in it. We all rolled our eyes and watched him click off 15 second pass after painful 15 second pass with what he claimed was over 700 hp. Then he showed up with a white gen 2 with every possible bolt on and proceeded to nearly bounce it off the wall on 3 straigh passes. "If it'd hook it'd run 10's, I swear" was his claim at a time when 11's were rare.

I too would like to see a 1/4 mile pass on video. Even I can do a big burnout and I only run 13.7x's (but my tires are $282 each, I'm going to make them last. That's what DR's are for.)

I have met this guy once about 2 years ago when he had the 2v 2.3KB in the truck. He had a dyno sheet showing something like 680ish whp. Not sure how he got the slip but even JL wasn't anywhere hear that power. I would take anything he tells you with a grain of salt. I personally have never seen anything he owns on any local dyno nor at the track making a pass but they all are good for low 10's at least with over 800 whp!

From the picture he had in his shop I could tell that he races at tulsa raceway park, not thunder valley. I don't know why since he is here in edmond that he drives all the way up to tulsa (~90 minutes) when thunder valley is roughly 1/2 that.
