Post What tires are available for Lightnings?

Hi,
I would like to know what companies make tires to fit my truck. I want a set that will have better treadlife than the F1's and better wet traction. I already know about the BFG Comp T/A ZR's, the Toyo Proxes, and the Nitto's. Are there any others?
Thanks.

Thats the list of 295/45/18's.
The Nitto 555R's are a drag radial, softer sidewalls than the others. Nitto tires are made by Toyo.
The BFG's are no longer in production, but you can find them. They are softer than the F1's, & Toyo's. Wear rate will be high.
The Toyo's are a harder compound tire and will last longer than the F1's, or BFG's. I just put on the Toyo S/T. So far I am impressed. They have good grip in the dry and very good grip in the rain. Better in the snow too. Luckily it only snowed once and is rare.
If your looking for better lap times around a track and still want a decent street tire, go with the BFG's or F1's. If you don't mind giving up 2/10ths of a second at the auto-x and want a tire that will give you an easy 30K miles get the Toyo.

Redneck, where did you purchase the Toyos? I for one can not find them at discount or tire rack in our size.

www.treadepot.com
Shipping was high, but the tires were $199ea
I was told by a Toyo rep that they made the nitto's. He may be 100% full of it....................which would make me 50% full of it.
