Post New hood and wing pic's

Here's a few pics of my new hood and wing for those looking for ideas. Fit and finish were great. Both are Cervini pieces.

Well, I'll probably get flamed, but I think a wing on a truck looks out of place, if not "ricey". I like the hood however.

Okay, valid point, but how "original" can it be? Cervini doesn't make the thing because they hope to sell just one. Nobody else might have it now, but that is sure to change in the future. Besides, wings ae not supposed to be for aesthetic purposes. Putting them on a vehicle for anything other than aerodynamics is "rice", I don't care how you justify it.

I know my opinions will proabaly irk some of the younger crowd here who have grown up believing that the import scene is where it is at, but to that let's just say I'm an old fashioned guy.

Yea, the hood is sweet ! I like the rear wing, but was looking for one built into the bed cover. I know Clontek (Brooks) has one and it is very cool, just a little pricey for me still.

I love the hood. Does anyone know if someone has developed or is developing a new cobra-r style hood for our trucks? I think that would look great. Or maybe a carbon fiber hood?

Thanks for the positive replies on the hood.

Sorry a few of you don't like the wing. Each their own.

By the way, can you name many vehicles that need a wing for anything other than aesthetic purposes. Mustang, Cobra, Camaro, etc. all have wings for looks. If you remove the wing, not too much will change.

Well, do you also think the "ground effects" are stupid because they are not functional? And if the hood is not functional (non-functioning cold air induction) why is that okay?

We all have our own likes and dislikes, but I think claiming you are "old fashioned" and calling those who might like the wing "ricey" is a bit egocentric. My wife's truck has the same tonneau as Clonetek and I think it looks great.

I am not "ricer" age and many of the others on this board, are, um, er, let's say mature...at least chronologically.

Peace,
