I want my truck to make that BIG CAM NOISE........

Are they ever going to make a big cam that will work for my 99 Lightning? Or do they already have one that will give me that nice cam noise that like built mustangs have and stuff?

Why not? Here's the deal, CraneCams in Daytona Beach can take your current cams and for $228pr and 2 sets of Lash Caps at $152. You tell them where you want your power and they will grind the cams for longer duration. This will improve performance in both the 4.6 and 5.4 supercharged motors. True they do not see an improvement in non-supercharged motors but you will with a supercharger. You will not get the wild lope of the muscle car era but you will get a mild one.

overhead cams perhaps and/or limited market demand as 5.4's aren't prevalent in the auto side of the fence.

Not alot of improvement (thus far) from those having custom grinds done.

just a thought.

all yer gonna do is move your peak horsepower to a higher rpm and change your low end torque curve...pretty much a waste of money unfortunately

Bulldog taught me how to pull the choke handle out, when I want that big cam sound.

Their race cam specs for the Gen 2 are 219/522lift/112lobe.

Big cam noise? Why? Nothing is sweeter than pulling up to a camming mustang with him laughing at me and then I lay the smack down w/ my 12 second L that sounds stone cold stock down to the stock muffler. The cam sound that comes from my 417 cuin 93lx coupe, thats another story!
