Question New Mickey Thompson Tires

Hey people (that was PC huh) I was looking on MT website for some new tires and noticed something funny (to me at least).

http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/...g_etstreet.html

Tire Size Meas. Sidewall Tread Overall
Rim Width Width Diam

26x10.50-16 10.0 10.3 8.4 25.9
26x11.50-16 9.0 10.8 9.7 26.2

Why are the 26x11.5's rim measure only 9" (with a higher tread width) while the 26x10.5's measure 10" (with a smaller tread width). Also do you guys use the 11.5's b/c they have a higher sidewall (read....more traction).

Thanks.....Joe

$hit......it messed up the formatting of my post.........please refer to the link for easier reading
