Post Reliability

Hi all. I'm new to this board and am really wanting a new L considering a '99 beat my '95 Z28 by about 5 car lengths a while back. I have been through 4 M6 trannies in my Z28 in 21,000 miles. I guess since i've been bitten with this Camaro my question is how much should I trust a new Lightning? I am a college student and this will be my only vehicle and i'm going to definitely mod it. I need reliability opinions from as many of you 2nd Gen owners as possible. Thanks a lot...

15,000 on my 2001, no major problems,
driven hard.
chip, filter, exhaust, K&N can run a mid to high 12 on stock F1's

17,000 daily driven, 1/4 mile(modded-see sig), dynoed miles--everyone of them reliable and exciting--so far.
