| Guest | I have a 3# lower on the truck to play with, originally was going with a 4# (still might) but was given the pulley to try. I like the increase in low boost performance and gas mileage has stayed the same (15-16mpg). Anyone try the 5lb? I really don't want to run an upper pulley so adding one isn't an option for me. Any thoughts? Concerns? Consideration? ------------------ Thanks, John Kerr 01 White Lightning Installed: Key Pad mod SVT Hitch Plug JDM Chip, Filter kit, Line valve mod F250SD trans pan & filter Factory tonneau cover MTX Thunderform BellTech 2" shackle kit 01 Suzuki Hayabusa, feeling negected, but still fast |

| Guest | I would just go with JL's 5 or 6lb pulley. Get the chip programmed for it and you will be fine. Either pulley and you will lose mpg if you're in the boost. ------------------ 99 Lightning- JL equipped! | Guest | Anyone have horsepower per pound of boost info? Or how many horses can I expect from 4# pulley? Most supercharger manufacturers claim 40-55% increase in HP. Most use 6-8psi.(I think). So Lets say 100HP gain, if we add 50% more boost (4# pulley) it would seem we could expect 50% more HP or 50 HP gain. What I have read in the posts is far less, could you explain? |

| Guest | Has anyone tried lower pulley upgrades after the intercooler recall was done on their trucks? Did everything work fine? If you had a chip, did you need a reburn? For those running 4# and higher boost, have you experienced any problems after extended use under high boost? Any overheating, engine damage? ------------------ 2000 Black Lightning #3249 of 4966 Build date: 05/25/2000 (Thursday) |

| Guest | I have the #2 lower and the 1.5 Metco interchangeable upper and I ran a best of 12.92!!! I might have broke in the mid-12s, but I am having bad torque converter problems right now and that was the best I could muster!! For me the #5 and #6 are WAYYYY to much for me, but to each his own!!! ------------------ Team JDM East 2000 Black Lightning 4,808lbs full trim weight 4,750lbs race trim weight 14.026@97.12--Bone Stock 12.92@105.46--Best time!! | Guest | Personally I wouldn't go any higher than 3 psi. Its more than enough for a street truck IMO. With the mods I have in the sig plus Bassani crossover pipes, there is no hook to this truck below 3 gear. Its great. ------------------ 2000 Black Lightning JDM chip, JL lower pulley, Borla Exhaust, 2001 filter kit 12.72 @ 105 1.81 60' |
