Cool SC questions....

Hey guys... don't mind my newbie questions but...

How much boost does a stock Lightning have?

What size is the stock pulley?

Do most of you guys change the stock pulley and put a smaller one on?

Thanks!

most of us change the lower pulley's first and then when we get tired of that much boost we do a bigger lower pulley or get an upper also.

some trucks are pushing well over 15lbs of boost with multiply pulleys. And with the go go juice also you can see some sick boost numbers!

The lower pulley is easier and safer to do.
The JL lower pulley will get you 3 to 4lbs more boost.

Lower pulley is attached to the motor so a bigger lower pulley gives more boost. The upper pulley is attached to the s/c so a smaller upper gives more boost.

I think the bigger lower pulley is safer, too, because it gives more surface area for the belt to grip, but that's just me.

The upper pulley was one of the easiest mods I've ever done is very safe, took me about 45 minutes the first time and I could do it again in about 15-20. Just make sure you have the "pulley puller" tool, I got mine from Mark@Lightning Force.

Does the pulley swap have any effect on warranty?
