Post 2nd time to track - what happened?

The main objective of last night was to prove to myself that my "street program (I)" is not faster than my "race program (II)". They feel very similar as far as power, but I can scratch second in the street program, and not in the race program, so I was going to prove it (as the street one should be about 3 or 4 tenths slower than the race), but.............

1st run - chip on "race" program

RT------.698
60'-----1.967
330----5.517
1/8-----8.437
MPH----83.99
1000---10.989
1/4-----13.154
MPH----104.03

2nd run - against a 2000 L (whose owner claimed that all 99/00 Lightnings have 208 gears and he had a chip, filter, and a "18 hp Bassani cat-back" and ran a 13.9 ?)

"street" program

RT------.617
60'-----1.955
330----5.702
1/8-----9.050
MPH----72.97
1000---11.998
1/4-----14.552
MPH----87.89

I launched good, R/T and 60' time even a little better than the 1st run, but about halfway down the track I start slowing down, and it almost feels like my tires are spinning....the 00 L blows right by me to make his 13.9 - what happened? Did I hit a slick spot in the track halfway down and start spinning? (they were cleaning up the track for 1.5 hours before my run) Or did I lose boost or what? I was running for the first time on my ET STreets. Its not because of the street program. There is no way my truck is THAT slow even stock.

I guess I'll have to prove the chip mystery next time.

You probably lost boost on the 1-2 shift. Next time, look at the gauge, you'll know then. Lloyd

If your boost solenoid is not disconnected it was more than likely a boost loss. Happens right about the 1-2 shift and due to to strong of a burnout against hard brakes. Make the next BnF and I will show you a quick fix for the next time you are at the track.

Sounds like you lost boost. Another thing to keep in mind it takes a little time for the computer to "learn" the new program. May take a few back to back passes after you swith between programs.
