I'm wanting to buy a new L, and the local dealer has a red one. They are asking 2,000 over the sticker. Is this unusual? How many of you have had to pay over sticker? Also, is an extended service plan offered with the L as it is on other Fords? (I plan to ask them to at least include that if I'm gonna' pay 2,000 over sticker). Thanks

I got mine back in May at $28,900 by using Ford's x-plan. Look for a dealer that will accept the x-plan--they don't have to.

I would think you could find some 01s at less than msrp because vehicle sales are down. Keep lookin'.

I dont know hopw far you want to travel, but Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor, Mi has 56 01's in stock. Yes that is correct, fifty six!! I personally saw the pile of invoice cards. Anyway they will honor A and X plans no problem. If interested I can get you some more info. Oh and dont forget the 0% financing for 60 months right now!!!

We have 3 SVT dealers in my area, 2 are affliated. The other wanted wanted $1,000 below sticker. I passed on that one. I offered $29,500 on the one I purchased from one of the other dealers...no X-plan, and they accepted the offer. They had 3 on the lot. Shop around, or make an offer. If you can, get an X-plan. Others here can tell you how to get one. Good Luck !!

There is dealer here that advertised one a couple of days ago for $29,995. They were going to do the X plan for me when I thought about trading a couple of months back. It's Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, MS. It's about 5 minutes from the Memphis city limits.

i bought my 01L on july 24 in omaha, ne for 29,901. they gave me 19,300
for my trade in, which was a 99L. this after three hours at the dealership trading offers back and forth. their first offer was 32,610 for new L and 16,000 trade in on 99L. i took it in the shorts on trade in(you got to expect that) but thought the final deal was good. I did not even want to try and sell my used L here, because of small market.

I'm from Canada. Sticker price here in Windsor, Ontario is 42,000.00 Canadian.
With the U.S. dollar being worth so much more than our money that sticker price would equal 27,000 U.S.
The SVT dealer has about 8 or 9 in stock.
He had 10 up till last Thursday.I know where that one went --in my garage.
