JJ's Whitelight

I hold in my hand the time slip from tonight, but before I get to the actual time, let me tell you how my night started out.

I got to the track and went thru tech and to the line where I met a really nice guy and his girl, and he has a 91 syclone with a few mods. We get to race about 10 minutes after I get there and I run a 13.41 @104.49 with a 60ft of 2.1446, it spun em hard and I had to lift, the syclone ran a 13.09 @ 101.78 with a 60 ft of 1.720.

Flash foward about 20minutes and we get to go again.

Me: 13.24 @ 104.77 with 60ft of 2.068
Him 13.30 @ 100.40 with 60ft of 1.817 (he said he was pinging and let off)

I spun em off the line again, and now I am worried because I cant get back in the 1.9's 60ft.. so I decide to bag it after the last run.. 1 1/2 hours later we line up again. (this is in 75 degrees)

Me: 12.9927 @ 106.09 with 60ft of 2.016. I am freakin thrilled!!!!!
Him 13.1693 @ 101.61 with 60ft of 1.751. and he didnt let off this time.

I am so happy, you have no idea.(those of you that remember your first 12 do)

I did this Full trim, the only thing that was missing was my spare, and most of you guys that I normally run with to see me do it....

Thanks everyone. I Have wanted to get into the 12's for a while and when I ran my 13.02 in virginia I knew I was close, but I only got two runs that day and the first one I spun alot, so that .02 had been on my mind ever since, then I go to 75-80 in terrible conditions, have my best 60ft ever and only run a 13.21, but with terrible air. So after last night I am happy as hell but also relieved that my L did what I knew it always could.

Cobra, I got there and ran about 15-20 min after showing up, then it was about 1/2 hour until my next run, then it took about 1-1 1/2 hours until my next one, so it was only 9:45 when I left. They dont have much organization about what lanes they run and when, sometimes you get out quick and sometimes you sit. Sitting is better anyway because I didnt have any ice and my L was fully warmed up from the 1/2 hour trip there.
I could have stayed and ran another time or two,but I had already made up my mind to go home and take care of my boyz. I saw Pantera there on my way out and he was getting ready to go up to the lanes to run, he asked me if I was gonna run and I told him I just got done running my first 12, but that I had to go home.. I dont know what he ran.

Another JDM equipped 01 L was there and he ran a 13.06, he has the electric fan and lower pulley and cold air kit,chip. He was having great 60ft times. He normally sprays it with 100-150 shot and runs 12.70's or so.. correct me if I am wrong Paul..

Cobra, I am going to have a Cold air kit in stock next week and Jim wants me to run another program so If you want I can give you a deal on my chip and set you up with the Cold air kit. Let me know.

JJ:Congrats on the 12.I only got one run.I ran a 12.997.The track was sh!t I was racing a friend of mine in a '67 GT Mustang.He was stomping me (he ran 11.88@125the run before)About 1/2 track his clutch decided to explode violently!It looked like the 4th of July!I started to back out but i figured I would be safer to get past him as fast as I could.I ran at Cecil last weekend.I went 12.78@107 totally stock except a J/L Diablo chip,J/L 3#pulley,
and the air filter removed.

You will always run 2tenths faster at Cecil.. they have great air up there. I cant wait to go there.. I will cruise by the Roys tonight just after dark, so maybe I will see you there... thanks again.. JJ

JJ:I did spin some but still had a 1.91 60 ft.I have been to Cecil about 6 times with my low 9 sec Mustang and I have never seen a et improvement there.Three of my friends(one 9 sec and two 10sec street cars) were running the same night and saw no better times than 75/80.as a matter of fact the 9 sec car (91 LX 347nos)actually want faster last night at 75/80 than he did at Cecil last week.I went 107 at Cecil and 106.9 at 75/80 so the air must have been pretty close.I did get out of it a little when Marks clutch exploded but got right back into it so that might account for the two tenths between last week and this.60 ft was about the same and so was mph.Anyway ,hope to see you at Roys.Later

I Do remeber my first 12 run, infact I went from a 13.5 to a 12.6. I'm sure some of the older L owners rember back when I used to tell everyone that with all my bods my truck has got to be running high to mid twelves with ease. Well everyone gave me chit for saying that but I went out and did it on a hot ***** day at byron with RobG there with me. I beat him the one time we did race too! HEHEHE sorry rob, but I had to bro.

P.S. Its good to see another JDM truck running 12's, It gets lonely with only us PSP and JL trucks running this fast, HAHAHAHAHAAH J/K again, I just had too take a stab at it.
