| Guest | My transmission failed about 300 miles away from the dealership a while back. Couldent take advantage of the 30 mile free towing, so I turned overdrive off and drove it down to the valley in 3'rd. I have heard that it may have been caused by downshifting manually. I havent downshifted since then and no problems. 12,000 miles on the truck. I have heard that "Manual Downshifting" is real bad for the trans. Anyone got any info on this?¿?¿? ------------------ C H E V R O L E T -- Condition Hopeless Entire Vehicle Relies On Left-over Engine Technology Broken stuff -Blew #4 spark plug way out... -Transmission Failure |
