Post Correct Magnaflow part # ?

I've searched the archives on Magnaflow mufflers, and have seen several conflicting numbers. I have an 01 that I want to replace the stock muff with a MF. Is there any difference in 01 exhaust than 99 or 00 ? Is it dual 2.5 in and dual 2.5 out. I want a little more rumble in normal driving. If it's a bit loud, that great. I've got a pair of MF on my wife's 00 GT, and they are LOUD. Any help with correct part # for dual in/ dual out for an 01 is appreciated. Sorry for another exhaust post.

Thanks

Question

I know the link to magnaflow, why do some people seem to be running th 12568, which is 18" body length, 5 x 8 body shape, while others run 12468 with the 22" body and 5 x 11 body shape. Thanks....

You have them reversed, the 12468 is shorter and louder than the 12568. These are aluminized and cheaper than the stainless 14468 and 14568.

Red face

Thanks 4D THNDR, I realized that after the post. I have a good friend that runs a Three Star exhaust shop, and he got me a 12468 from their local warehouse. I got it installed this afternoon for no labor and his cost on the muffler. Not alot louder than stock, but certainly noticeable. I appreciate all the advice guys. Now on to the next mods !

Jeff, give it about 1000-1500 miles and it'll get louder. Mine did, really love the sound now.
