| Guest | I am going to be getting a Lightning in the next couple months. Either a silver or white 99-00. Since this is going be my daily driver I am thinking of putting a bed shell and carpet kit on it. Some of you may think it will look totally stupid but I think it will look kind of cool and different if I can find one that looks sporty enough and has the right look. Has anybody done this before or am I the only weird one? |

| Guest | There are a number of folks running around with capped Lightnings. I was going to cap mine so I could take my dogs on a cross country trip, but changed my mind after aborting the trip. Hells bells, if you need a cap put a cap on it. Its a truck. Its not like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. The purists may object, just tell 'em that if they make the payments they can tell you how to set up your truck, otherwise bug off. ------------------ You can only be young once, but you can be immature forever. | Guest | I have an A.R.E. 'Z' series on my '01 lightning, so does my father on his '99 Lightning. It has the wing, carpet, clothes rack and everything. Of course I sell them so I got a discount, but the A.R.E. is a nice topper. I'm sure there are other good brands out there also. By the way I still get good track times. With only the JL diablo chip and ram air I had a 8.757 1/8th and 1.96 60ft times last week. I had some pics on Zing but I don't think Zing works anymore so I'll have to find somewhere else to store them. I'll be at Sport Truck Shootout in B.G. KY Aug. 4th also if anyone wants to see a topper. [This message has been edited by Leonard Embody (edited 10-22-2001).] |
