Question Question about fan clutch?

When I start the truck cold and take off I can here the fan clutch roaring for the first couple miles then it stops. Is this normal?. I know they do it when they are running hot. Thanks Bob.

Yep, normal as far back as my 92 Explorer. If you wanna get rid of the noise sooner, let it shift into 2nd and goose it about 3/4 throttle. Doesn't have to be WOT. Goes away right now. If you drive like granny, it'll usually last about a mile.
