| Guest | Im using the JL Diablo chip, and lower pulley with ram air. My truck doesnt ping using 92 octane. My question is, have you guys found boosters that have helped your performance? Since I dont detonate, it might just be a waste of money. Thanks. ------------------ Blue Viper GTS (11.8/121mph 1/4) Silver 01 Lightning "Im gonna mod until I see a 12" |

| Guest | I ran with NOS oct. booster fri. nite. I knew it wouldn't help with my times because I use JL's street chip but, it was hot (92F) and I wanted to prevent any possible detonation. Was using 1/4 tank of Amoco 93 oct. No detonation--I didn't hear any? My times were actually slower than the fri. before with just Amoco. This past Fri., i ran a best time of 13.617 @ 102.79. The Fri. before, I ran a best of 13.477 @ 102.54. Of course, there could be many reasons for the differencses. My point--the NOS booster didn't seem to be worth the $10(unless it killed any detonation?) Don't think I will try it again? ------------------ DAN--2001 Lightning, silver, bot/picked up on 05/08/01, psp pulley, JL ramair kit, JL chip, JL dr/shaft loop, royal purple #11 syn. oil-- 97 f150xlt, 4.6l w/mods |

| Guest | Stay away from octane boost, its not worth the cost. If you really want to increse your octane level without adding boost or oxygen adders use the "Torco Accelerator" consentrated racing fuel. One can (32oz) to 10 gallons of 93 octane gas makes 104 octane race fuel, or added to 5 gallons makes 107. You can get this stuff from Simmons Petro. out of Ok. If you need a suppliers phone number email me and I will send it to you. Cost is $60.00 for 6 can case and will make 60 gallons of 104 race fuel for about 1/2 the cost of any race gas at any track. Torco's web site is www.torcoracefuel.com and you can locate a dealer near you there. ------------------ "The Surgeon General Gave No Warning Against Smok'en, The Competition" Team PSP South #19 Yahoo Messenger: onebadtk T/T #32 [This message has been edited by 1badtk (edited 07-09-2001).] |
