Post Stock CD changer question

I'm planning on keeping the factory head unit and CD changer for a while until I can save some more money. I have managed to change the door speakers and have an MTX amp and subs that I plan to install tomorrow. The subs are the MTX custom made ones for the F150, and the CD changer needs to be relocated to make room for it.

Where is the best place to relocate the CD player, and can it function on it's side without screwing it up? Like under the middle seat?

Thanks

Jim,

It changer works fine under the middle seat. I have had mine there for about 4mon with no problems at all - hasn't skipped once.

G-Man,

I have moved my CD player twice. The most recent home is attached to a custom box that holds two 10inch subs. In both moves, the unit was installed face up for driver access.

From my experiance the unit is durable.

No, once the mud was removed, we replaced the lower bumper cover and and repainted the abrasions.
