Question 2001 get 380HP according to SVT website

Just checked out the SVT website and they list the HP at 380 instead of 375 and the TQ is still at 450. Here is the link: http://www.svt.ford.com/lightning_specs.asp

It's about time they released the "official" pics and specs. I can't wait to get mine in April.

Supposedly the 2001 is getting 3.73 gears, a larger intercooler, 90 mm MAF, and a less restrictive air box.

I think I'll have to try and place an order for a black '01 ASAP. &ltrin>

I checked in with the SVT salesman when i was at the dealer getting the L checked out.

They are lowering the suspension 2" in the rear and 1 inch in the front

3.73 gears

new wheels

new grille,headlamps,foglamps,tail lamps

less restrictive airbox

i doubt it will have a 90MM MAF,i cant tell you if they are upgrading the intercooler core or not.but that could be the case.

lowering the suspension more than the 99s and 00s or just the regular f150s? I doubt it will be any lower than the 99s and 00s they wont be able to transport it.

In the past havn't they been rated at 10psi boost? I noticed that they got 380 HP on 8psi and if they used to have 10psi I need to find out how to get the extra 2 back. I also need to find a good head porter and/or see if the Cobra 4 valve heads will work.

The SVT hotline told me that there would be a larger MAF on the 2001. The dealer info is not always correct on SVT products. Call 1-800-Ford-SVT if you would like to research this yourself.

oilwell1415: 99-00 Lightnings were factory rated 8psi as well even though it seems a little underrated (or the stock gauge is wrong) on a lot of them.

The Ford press release said that the MAF was larger. Someone posted a link in here somewhere. I also noticed that Ford is claiming 13.9 in the quarter. Given that they seem to go about 0.5 faster than Ford claims, that shoudl make the 01 a low 13 second truck in stock trim.
