| Guest | Guys post on the Mod Motor Forum message board how ya feel about this new rule...Let them know there is more than one of me who is more than a little pissed at this! I put the link down on the bottom of the page here....but just in case, it is www.funford.com. I am going to try and co-ordinate with some other clubs that have mod motor cars(Lightnings, Crown Vics, Mark 8s, the new Marauder Mercury is promising), maybe we can get some sponsorship form guys like Hyland, qand if this thing starts looking real, and my shop starts making the money to support it, I may become a sponsor...and startg a new All Mod Motor shootout series, welcoming ALL Mod Motors...then it is time to get some tracks to give us weekends opposing the Fun Mustang Weekends... New Mod class rule...from Fun Mustang Weekend Right off of their Web Page. This class is for Mustangs only. Effective 2002, all Mustangs must be 1996 model year bodies or later. Any Ford Mod Motor equipped, full bodied Mustang permitted. Any modifications permitted. Dragsters, open wheel vehicles, roadsters, trucks or non Mustangs not permitted. No electronics. Trans brake and two step permitted. Deep staging permitted, must have "DEEP" clearly legible on windshield. AAP will not be responsible for red lights due to staging, etc. All vehicles and drivers must be in compliance with class requirements as set forth by AAP. Host tracks sanctioning body (NHRA or IHRA) driver and safety requirments mandatory. 15.99 minimum ET required to qualify. I guess the assholes don't like anything other then cookie cutter cars...cars that anyone can build on a 50 cent budget....Well...I am done with them if that does not change...They should call it Fun Mustang weekend only... |

| Guest | Can't say I blame them. It's a Fun Ford weekend, and they don't have any fun when their weak-*** Mustangs get manhandled by our trucks. Lightnings rule at bracket racing because of their consistency, and without a power-adder, the clowns who can't launch a 6-speed can't hack it. ------------------ Regards, Gordon 1999.5 "Red Pig" Lightning [This message has been edited by BadDog (edited 11-02-2000).] |
