Question about tweecer and superchargers

I have been looking at getting a Tweecer for my '94 Fobra and also my '93 L. I know for sure I am going forced induction on both (one day) and I want to be able to tune it myself. My goals on both are just to make at least 320-400hp w/supercharger and most likely stroker.

Most of the guys that I have talked to on other Mustang boards have told me that it is almost impossible to tune a supercharged application on a Mustang using the Tweecer. Does this also hold true for our L's? In this area, dyno shops are really limited and the only one that I know of has a BAD reputation - so that is why I am leaning towards the Tweecer RT. I know that there is at least one person out there that has tuned their supercharger L's using a Tweecer and is happy with it.

We have the all knowing Lightning Tweecer GOD on this website. His name is SStock and he has tuned Gen1 Lightnings with both superchargers and turbos on this site. He knows his stuff.

The reason some people have trouble tuning the forced induction mustangs with the Tweecer is that they don't know all of what they're doing. There are tricks to it, but it's not all that hard.

I have been tuning Thunderbird SCs, 4.2 F150s, & V6 Mustangs with the EEC Tuner ford about 8 years now. Usally takes my 2 e-mailed tunes to peg all drivability issues on supercharged & turbo cars-trucks. If you use the GUI with the EEC Tuner it is the same software that SCT uses but without all the helpfull notes. There is a learning curve but things have improved alot in the years i have been doing it.

Thanks guys, I knew that there had to be a way to do it. I know that Tweecer requires a good learning curve, but I am willing to invest the time - I mean that's the reason we spend so much time wrenching in the first place!

Thanks again!

I love the tweecer. I used to have the Tuner and just upgraded this past summer. The GUI program in my eyes is a little bit nicer for doing stuff and see what you did. But I think the tweecer has more support and they keep updating it. I have been messing with it or a couple of years now. Really once you get the basic Idea of how it all works its just a matter of playing with numbers till it right.

Don't bother with the RT for your Lightning. Most of the readings are not accurate for the truck eec's. Just get the base model Tweecer, and a wideband O2.
