| 94 wht. L Paid Member | twEECer help Today I plugged in the twEECer to get everything going and once I did, I could not get anything to work. I am thinking that I need to re-setup the software or something because when I plugged it in I waited for the "New hardware found" then it told me their was an error in the driver setup. I clicked "OK" and then I tried to "Read EEC" and it wouldn't do anything. HELP????????? ![]() |

View this user's gallery iTrader: 5 / 100% | Dumb question. but did you have the key on on the truck while you where trying to read the the EEC or do anytype of commincating with the EEC and tweecer. The key needs to be on. Another thing you may want to do is plug the tweecer into the computer have the key on and go to the device manager. It will tell you what port you what usb port you are using and then you can set it accoringly in CalEdit compaired to where it is being shown in the device manager. |

| 94 wht. L Paid Member | OK I sanded the contacts and retried it.....same thing. This time I tried switching the 5-position knob to the other side (all the way to the right, away from the dot) before I turned the key to the on position and the fuel pump went off like it normally does but it still would not read the EEC. I'm starting to loose my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Supporting Vendor Paid Member | It sounds like the TwEECer isn't installed on the computer. The software may be, but the TwEECer itself isn't. Unplug it and plug it back in. When the new hardware found pops up, you have to find the driver for it on the CD and install it. |

| 94 wht. L Paid Member | Ok, I now have the driver installed correctly thanks to Chip, but I am a little confused about the bank count thing. Is this something that I do manually? I think I read that you have to set it, but how do you know what to set it to? My board rev. is 530AB00E down in the right corner, I don't think that has anything to do with the bank count, does it? My computer is a C3P2. The other thing is I did a "Read EEC" on the truck and then tried to change a couple things like setting my inj. size(lb/sec) to 0.08333333 for the 30#'ers and the egr switch to 2 and the thermactor switch to 0 so that both of those are off. I tried to save the settings some how but every time I come back to that part of the scalars it is right back to 0.020833 for the injector size. What am I doing wrong? I am sure that once I figure this stuff out it will be a snap but talk about your learning curve! Larry |
