How do I get started?

I just bought a twEECer from Pro Mustang Performance and I received it today. What do I need to know to get started with this thing? Do I need to download my software from the twEECer web site?

Larry, Yes you will need to download the Software from Tweecer.com. Once you have them down loaded you will have to install. You need to Download and install the BDE First and then the tweecer Program second. RT130A9 second.

Will I need to install a base program before I start up the truck with the twEECer installed on it?

Larry, After you have all the soft ware on your LapTop. I would then once the Tweecer is in the ECM Do a EEC read That will read your Factory Program. Once you have done that I would then Burn that to all Position on the Tweecer so you will not have a problem. You only have 4 position you can use for tunes. The 5th Position reverts back to the Factory ECM which turns the Tweecer OFF.

One this I am not sure what all you have changed on your truck and what is installed as far as injectors and all.

Be careful if you don't have a wideband. When I changed my heads and cam, I was way lean with the 19's. I had the Tweecer making the 19's dump as much fuel as they could, and it was still lean at wot. Before I started adjusting with the Tweecer, my A/F was 14.5 at wot. If you change injectors, go with 30's. That way you will have room to grow.

The 24s will be fine for now. There are alot to choose from there is th innovative, FJO, Wideband commander. Personal I have a FJO and like it. Second for me would be the Innovative, And a lot of people like that one.

Larry,
The innovative wideband unit is great. If just using it to monitor A/F it is very easy. If you plan on using the extended module,ie TPS,MAP, ect, it takes a little time to set everything up and learn. Plus you will have to hook up the wires to the sensors. If possible I would set it up on another car that is running. That way you are not trying to learn two software packages at the same time. just my $.02
