Question Newby..?WIth questions!

I may have a chance to get a tweecer, I have done some mods and I'm thinking that I need a tune to get the package pulled together, I'm not seeing the gains that i was expecting...
Will the tweecer help?
How user friendly is the software... Do I need a degree in Engineering to use it? LOL
What questions should I be asking about the tweecer and my truck to know if I have the right combo to tune?

Help! I need to learn!
Also I have a chip from Hypertech, will that need to be removed before I do anything or can I keep it in?

please see sig for mods,

The Tweecer is not user friendly. There is not any good documentation for the Lightning eec's. It is a steep learning curve. To use the Tweecer you will have to remove the chip. The Tweecer uses the J3 port that the chip is plugged in.
Did Hypertech custom make that chip for you? I am guessing they did since your are able to run 24lb injectors. Do you know what all the changes are in your chip?

The chip was before the 24 lb injectors...I think it was a shelf chip, was in it when I got the truck, but it did away with the speed limiter & moved the shift points up to 5500 @ WOT, I think it bumped the timing up a bit also, not much more than that...

Are you sure you have 24lb injectors then. Stock is 19lb and they are orange. Without a chip or some kind of eec tuning you should not be able to run 24lb injectors. It would flood the engine. Are the injectors orange?

Nope ....blue, just put them in about 3 days ago, and it runs, jut a bit rich, when ever it starts I get a big puff of dark smoke?

I had also bought a FPR when I got the injectors , but it will not bolt up to the stock fuel rail. thats what I get for buying sight un-seen.

I am surprised it is running decent, especially at startup. You should be rich all over except at maybe wot.

As far as getting a Tweecer, it depends on how much time you want to spend tuning. I wouldn't even want to take a guess at all the days I have spent tuning, and testing out my changes. You will also want a wideband O2.

I would get something to tune them though It may not even want to start when cold weather hits, and the eec richens the mixture.

I would not spend the money on the FP regulator unless your stock one is bad. The eec wants to keep the A/F ratio at 14.7, and it will just cut the fuel back if you try to add pressure. The only time it may help is at wot, and there are two sides to that arguement.
