BTW, the big engine vs the 85mph stock speedo is only one of several other wierdnesses. The platform is a stone stock 1991 F-150, hence the speedo and vanilla interior issues. I think all they were trying to do is put a VERY fast pickup together in a VERY short amount of time. Looking forward to being able to read the article to get a better understanding of exactly what this thing is.

I think some are missing a point here. This truck may not have played a roll in the inspiration or development of our beloved Lightnings but...it is an original Boyd show vehicle old enough for the man himself to have actually worked on. Further, keep in mind that the styling was where it was at back then.

Though I may not be drawn to the styling of this truck to own something like it myself, I would look at it with the reverence due a true pedigreed vehicle at any show. “Jab”, good luck with the restoration and “Sportruk”, you did an awesome job on your yellow F150!!!

Progress in documenting this pu!!!

Guys, we FINALLY got a copy of their article from Sport Truck Magazine and the truck is now listed for sale on ebay as item #140283629132. There is a link on that listing to the website where we posted the Sport Truck article. It's amazing what BOYD's went through to create this truck!!!

THX for all your help!
