Smile transmission repaired

Just wanted to let those interested in my results from taking my truck to Ford Dealer to check out trans problem posted on 01/01, the transmission range sensor was bad, they replaced it with a new one, ever since I've gotten it back it works great!! Best part it only cost $140.00 for everything!! Glad I didn't go with the trans shop that wanted to rebuild the whole trans for two thousand plus. Hope this may help someone else out who may have the same problem sometime. Thanks Russ

Thumbs up

That's good to hear. My favorite transmission moment was when i found out that instead of my transmission/torque converter having gone bad, all it was, was the vacuum line to the MAP sensor had popped off. Instead of multiple days in the shop and thousands of dollars it was 15 minutes and free.

Trans started shifting extremely hard, lose third and overdrive going down the highway like you put it in netural, you would have to manually shift it to second to get it to go at all, some days it would not shift up without having to shift it up manually, some days it would do ok except for shifting hard.
