| Guest | Hey guys, new to the board, and to the Lightning scene. I was fortunate enough to find a used '95 Lightning and I must say, this truck rocks, even without a Supercharger! I love the truck and all, but I already have that hunger for more power! I would like to start off with gettin a computer chip but most say that they aren't worth the money and I should just get a tuner. What do you guys think? I love this truck! All the new Silverado z-71's around here think that its a 6 cylinder, so there all like "Let's race." I just laugh and say alright and burn them! BTW, you guys have a really nice site here! Keep up the good work. And all of your members seem to really know their stuff! I hope that you all can answer my questions when they come up! ------------------ 1995 Ford Lightning Bassani Full Exhaust K&N Injection Performance Kit MSD Ignition |

| Guest | Id go for the EEC tuner before a chip.On a stock Lightning a chip wont help you much.A chip can firm up the shifts for you. | Guest | Welcome to the Lightning scene. These trucks are awesome! I know you will enjoy it. A lot of subjects on modifications can be found under the search function. You can find a lot of info there, or just chime in with questions. A lot of these guys have been around the block with there machines and know what works and what is a waste of money. Small gains can be had with underdrive pulleys, open conical air filters, shift kit and many other things. Just jump right in and enjoy. ------------------ 93 Black Powerdyned "Lightning on Steroids" 1/4 13.01 @ 102 NLOC #110 R.W. Byrum |
