Question Cant find antifreeze leak.

On my way back home tonite my truck started
blowing out steam like crazy from under the hood. So i pulled over to investigate and noticed that it was coming from the back of the engine block somewhere. I just couldnt pinpoint where, any ideas?

Is there a hose back there? You arent talking about the one that goes from the egr plate to the radiator are you? Tell me more!

Actually,it was coming from the right side.
You mean the drivers side right? I will check that also. I hope its not the heater hoses. Are they hard to replace? Thanks for your help.

Where Y'at Red, The heater hoses are on the right(passenger side). If your hoses say Motorcraft, then they are original & I'd replace them even if they aren't leaking. Rubber don't last forever. Just ask Trojan.

I checked the hose that comes off the egr and seems to be fine, so im guessing that it must be the heater hose. Its really hard to tell because theres so much dam steam coming out. If it is a heater hose am i going to have to take off the upper manifold to get to it?

Where Y'at Red, Heater hoses are a piece of Cake. Measure out how much hose you need to get, replace them both. Buy 5/8" heater hose & 4 s/s clamps. Drain the rad. If you have trouble getting the hoses off the heater core going into the firewall, cut the hose w/a razor knife. Fill the rad. & your done in about 30 min. No uppers coming off, unless you go to a strip club when your finished.
