Post High Mileage and a blower question

This is the 2nd time i posted this...it disapeared after 30 minutes last time....I have a 94L with 126k on it. I recently upgraded from a PD putting out 10spi to an S trim putting out 14psi at 5200rpm. Base fuel is at 45-47psi at idle cruising it goes to about 50. When I stick it it goes to 80-90psi with 30lb injectors. I have an X-pipe, Flowmasters, 70mm throttlebody, MSD 6BTM, one of Sals chips. I know the fp is a little high but i chosen to leave it there as a saftey measure....better to have extra than not enough. Is the general opion that I am playing with fire with this setup/mileage or with a "safe" tune as I described am I in the safe zone? Thanks in advance!!!

Cool

Keep an eye on your plugs they'll tell wether you have to much fuel pressure. You didn't say weather you had an FMU.I run a Kenne Bell blower with 8#'s without FMU without problem, plugs look clean.

Question

Can I ask you what pullies (crank/blower) you are running to get 14psi at 5200rpm? I am assuming you are running stock heads/cam/intake? Just curious...

Wish I had an answer to your question, but I don't.

Thanks,

Yes I have a 4:1 FMU. I am using the Vortech 8 rib conversion kit with a 6.875 crank and a 2.75 blower pulley. I have an ASP 7.25 lower pulley but I am hesitant to put it on at this point as I expect I would see 16-18psi and I really dont know how well the motor would react to that. One other thing also is that this is my daily driver/playtoy as well as tow vehicle so while I want it to be peppy I cant get to crazy as I want to stay reliable everyday as well as for those 3 hour one one trips tot he track....yes I said 3 hours ONE WAY. Thunder, Vinton is part of Roanoke.

Cool

Thanks. I've been thinking about the 8-rib Renegade kit that a couple of guys here have been running. That's an 8" lower pulley and a 3.15 on the blower. I've currently got an 8-rib setup that appears to be 6.5" and 2.95. I'll probably keep the 2.95 in case I want to get greedy later with the 8" lower. But at this point, I'm thinking out loud. Thanks again for the input.

3 hours to the track? Where do you run?

Later,

When we go really racing we go to a 1/4 mile and we are right in the middle for Bristol (sucks) Rockingham (LOVE IT!!) and Virginia Motorsports Park (Only thing bad there is my luck!!) 2:45min to 3:45 drive tim to any of these. We have 2 1/8th miles withing 1 1/2 hours but my car has been running 6:20's and should pick up to 5:70-5:80....so why even bother, burn out, stage pull a gear, brakes....blah.
