| Guest | while pondering life yet again, also looking thru the "power adder" section of the corral, i had a thought... for you guys running the Powerdynes...ever thought of picking up a Moostang kit, which mounts in the pax side of the engine bay, for about $1000 and throwing it on the other side of your L??? you could run two of em together, perhaps at a lower boost settings, and get quite a charge out of it (no pun intended) ?!? ------------------ '93 Lightning -all the bolt-ons -Jacobs ignition -full exhaust -Level 10 tranny -TFS Stage II heads -Kenne Bell Blowzilla -357 Long-Rod on the brain... if i stop runnin, the evil little clowns will get me... | Guest | Cool idea, like bi-turbo only blowers. I tell ya, I want GJLS NOVI though. Thats where I would go, of course I want the intercooler kit too. | Guest | I would love to see the spec's on that thing. I wonder if it is more efficiant for two blowers insted of over driving the single one you all ready have. What I mean is, do super chargers lose or gain efficiancy as the RPM's go up? ------------------ 93 red Lightning poly bushings Timing @ 14*BTDC rear exit exhaust straight pipes Under Drive Pulleys Diesel Tube 180* thermostat Downs Ford jump seat Build #3949 of 5276 best time:15.031 @ 91.21MPh Since last time at track: Level 10 shift kit |

| Guest | That picture looks kinda like the engine in a relly sweet '64 Fairlane that was at ExpoFord in Columbus Oh.this year.It was 447 cubic inches I think and had nitrous with TWO Powerdynes and two 4bbl Holleys. He didn't run it at the drag strip but it sure sounded good when he pulled out of the lot at the criuse-in. ------------------ 95L Full Bassani exhaust Power&Amp pulleys 460 air tube&K&N 180 stat&14 degree timing 1.7RR adj.FPR 1/8 mile ET 9.38@74.14 |

| Guest | The Viper guys are using twin superchargers. Here's one pic of the setup: http://vca1.viperclub.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000397.html Or how about a dyno sheet from a twin turbo viper: http://vca1.viperclub.org/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000475.html |

| Guest | Wouldn't ya think that it would take a TON of power to turn both blowers? I would assume that you'd keep 'em on the same belt drive, so crank loading shouldn't be an issue. IMHO, if you need that much, it's probably more efficient to run one big blower instead of two. But I could be wrong... ![]() ------------------ - Kevin Black '94 #907 |

| Guest | Since Powerdynes, Votechs, and Paxtons are all centrifical chargers, they will work like any other centrifical pump... meaning, that they add to the actual intake pressure. So, if you have two nine pound chargers, run the discharge of one into the intake of the other, then you would end up with 18 pounds of boost. Of course, an intercooler would be a must since the compression of all that air would raise the temperature to a level nearling that of the planet Mercury. Just another thought..... ------------------ John NLOC # 227 HALO # 45 |

| Guest | Yea, but the question is, Is it more engin drag to run two 9lb chargers or one 18lb charger? The one that takes less horse power to run, in turn will create more horse power. Just a tought. ------------------ 93 red Lightning poly bushings Timing @ 14*BTDC rear exit exhaust straight pipes Under Drive Pulleys Diesel Tube 180* thermostat Downs Ford jump seat Build #3949 of 5276 best time:15.031 @ 91.21MPh Since last time at track: Level 10 shift kit |

| Guest | Would be cool but you would be better off with say a novi 2000 instead of twin powerdynes or S-trims. It would still rock though. ------------------ Marcus Harrison Member of HARRISON MOTORSPORTS Home of F.U.Racing(Fords Unlimited) NLOC#495 Hungry out of work eat your IMPORT |

| Guest | Well we would all have to agree that a set up like this would be more for looks and not so much for power gains. John, Your idea made me think. What if you intercooled the truck. But you had one blower going to the into intercooler and the one pulling off the intercooler. This would help with getting the plumbing of the two blower to work together very easly and it would look very clean. ------------------ Justin DiPalma NLOC # 555 Black 94 #437 Power Dyned, 13.703 @ 100.38 MPH |
