Has anyone installed GEN 2 (18") wheels on their GEN 1? If so were there any complications? Thanks, Shawn

You can't install the actual gen2 wheels since the bolt pattern is different.

You CAN get the gen2 clones with the gen1 bolt pattern from afswheels.com

Some guys have those, and they look sweet. I'd say the biggest complication is acute reduction of bank account size. Especially if you are the type that goes through tires fast

Here is a pic of Keith Fromme's truck.
I don't think he will mind.
IMHO, one of the nicest 93's around.
I don't think he comes around here anymore, (hint, hint)he is having fun with his turbo Suburu!

I pasted the links into the browser and could see the pics. Then I came back to the thread and could see the pics. Weird, but I have seen that happen before.

Pretty sure the white one is George Najarian's. From the Orange County, CA area.

Thanks for all the info. What I am actually looking for is 2001/02 (18") wheels on a
GEN 1. Does anyone make these wheels with a GEN 1 pattern?

What happens is that most servers don't allow direct linking of images, so they won't show up in a thread like this. To view them, you have to copy/paste the url and open them up manually. After you do that, the image is then stored in your cache. When you come back to this thread, and refresh, the browser simply just pulls the image out of your cache, instead of getting it off the server. So that's why it shows up after you manually open it

Awwww, thanks for the kind words Steve! I actually still do come around here often, but haven't posted much lately, I've been busy with too many things at once. And those tires are 295/45 ZR 17's, the same brand and size that came on the first Gen 2 trucks. I heard that Good Year discontinued them, but I don't know. And yes, I have been having a blast with my new WRX. It snowed a lot here this week, about a foot, which is more than this area has seen in many years. It's just a pleasure to drive in the snow.

And I don't think anyone makes the new looking Gen 2 wheels for our trucks.
