Post noisy valve-train?

I did 1.7 roller rockers, the crane lightning cam, and the tfs spring kit, and my valve train is really noise, not so much clicking like it is out of adjustment, you can just really hear what sounds like the rollers on the rocker tips, or something to the effect. Anyone else have this?

Do you have the Pedelstals or the studs?
Usually noise on the upper end is attributed to too much lash, especially if you just put on a new component,ie rocker arms.
I just adjusted the rockers on a aluminum headed brand X. We went 1/2 turn past zero lash and was noisey. Probably will take a full turn to quiet them down. You might need to subtract some shim clearance(pedelstals) or lash down further(studs).BTW, Do a visual to the roller-valve stem interface to make sure the roller tip is in the middle of the stem.
Hope this helps

i have the pedestal mount cobra roller rockers. I went through the whole lifter preload thing several times, all the valves read between .020", and .060" like they are supposed to. There isn't a knocking, or a clattering, if i take out shims, there is a sort of knocking, so i can't do that.

Jason, did you happen to check to see that the cobra's are not hitting the valve covers?
I imagine that could make a racket. I read a post awhile ago and seem to remember the oil baffle needs to be trimmed or something. Others might chime in with their experience.

I did the cobra rockers, crane L cam, and new valve springs during Christmas myself. At first the drivers side sounded like it was clicking but it went away after a few miles of driving. The cobra roller rockers will not hit the oil baffle or at least it hasn't in the trucks that I know of. Also my trans decided to die on me after I did the mods and now I am waiting for my new level 10 trans and billet converter to arrive. Good luck.

mine passenger side does that too, although it goes away really quick after startup. I noticed a huge difference after the swap, it's worth all the effort.
