Question how much intercooled can be pumped into stock longblock???

what do ya think is a safe limit of intercooled boost into a stock longblock providing theres no detonation? i figure around 15#'s. what do u think?

Who knows for sure...Some people say the stock head gaskets cant take much. If there's no detonation I dont see why you couldnt run about that much intercooled boost. We just changed the pulley(not track tested yet) to bump the boost back up to about 13 psi. Havent had any trouble yet. Just carefull with the timing retard when on pump gas. That YS setup you're doing sounds awesome. I can see one in the future here too

I think the stock head gaskets are pretty good really! I'm running 14lbs of boost on the big end of the race track, not intercooled.....yet!

A college buddy of mine has a 94 Stang with 14 psi and intercooling. he has never had any problems. Since the 351 has larger bearings than the 302, it should handle it just as well.
