trans, slipping out of park

HEY HAS ANY ONE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM,?I WAS AT LIGHTN 1 HOME OVER THE WEEKEND, THE TRUCK WAS THERE FOR ABOUT 30 MINS, THEN DECIDED TO TAKE A SWIM,LUCKLY FOR ME THE TREES, YES TREES STOPED IT BEFOR IT TOOK IT'S BIG PLUNGE, WE CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HECK HAPPEN, YEA IT IS BANGED UP PRETTY GOOD, OH WELL THATS WHY YA PAY THOSE HIGH INS BILLS KIND AHARD TO BE REAL UPSET WHEN 5 HOURS BEFOR MY 6 YEAR OLD SON DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST, ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD DAY,BUT BAD FOR THE SOUTHERNTHUDER L, ANYHOW HAS THIS HAPPEN TO ANY ONE, IS A MEMO BEEN SENT THAT I COULD HAVE OVER LOOKED, HEY THANKS FOR ANY INPUT, LATER DAVE

Dave,

A big thumbs-up for your son.....good deal! Trucks are one thing (I would be upset if it happened to my truck), but they can be replaced or fixed, via the insurance company like you said. Your son made an eternal decision. Congrats.

I'm sitting here looking at my little 2-week old fella praying that he will do the same some day (soon).

By the way, I had that happen with a C6 tranny - it had something to do with the parking pawl, but I can't remember exactly what. That was at least 10 years ago. Fortunately, I was in the truck and simply applied the brake.

Hey man sorry to hear about the truck. Glad to hear about your son. I am getting ready to be Baptised along with my 2 year old here in the next couple weeks. I believe it is the second week of November. Kind odd feeling as I wasnt raised going to church at all. I have to give a big thanks to both my wife and my really good friend James.

Anyways back to your transmission. I had a cherokee, and off roaded the crap out of it...The tranny went...took it in for warranty...Supposedly I submerged the vent hose for the tranny under water, and it was full of H20...haha...

HEY GUYS I TALKED TO A FELLOW AT A TRANS SHOP AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPEN, HE SAID HE HAS SEEN THIS BEFOR BUT NO ONE IS REALLY AT FAULT,SOMETHING ABOUT A PIN THAT HOLDS PARK, HE EXPLAINED THAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN REAL CLOSE TO BEING LOCKED IN PARK BUT DID NOT MAKE IT ALL THE WAY, AND SAID THAT IF IT HAD BEEN A VERY VERY SLIGHT GRADE THE VECHILE WOULD HAVE ROLLED A SMALL AMOUNT AND LOCKED UP, BEINGS I WAS THE MT, WHEN MY L DECIDED TO TAKE A STROLL IT KICKED OUT TO THE NETURAL SIDE, I DONT KNOW, ALL I CAN SAY IT WAS A FREAKISH THING,, THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT ON THE L, AND MY SON, THE TRUCK WENT TO THE BODY SHOP TODAY BY ROLLBACK, I'LL KEEP YA INFORMED AS TO HOW ALLSTATE TAKES CARE OF ME OR NOT, ONCE AGAIN THANKS,GOD BLESS YA,AS FOR ME HE ALREADY HAS, HEY LIGHT YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A CALL FROM BECKER AND BECKER,,,HE, HE, JUST KIDDING, WE WENT BACK TO THE STIDIO LAST NIGHT AND REWORKED THE SONG IT SOUNDS GREAT, SHOULD HAVE IT MIXED DOWN BY FRI WE HOPE, LATER DAVE
