Post Completed Custom white faced Guages

Well, I know a few of you inquired about the guages I was designing.
I looked at all the White faced Gauges available and I wanted somethng alittle different.
took me awhile to develop a pattern but I finished, like my emblem, I had to build them from scratch and develop the pattern I was looking for and they fit perfectly behind the Wood trim (photo later). They will do well for both normal driving and shows I may attend.
Now the interior is almost done,One more piece to the puzzle.
remember; if you can find a special item for your truck, build it yourself.

Cool

John that looks sweet. I like it. Kinda funny though. The voltage gauge kinda looks like a smiley face. LOL Man I must be really tired.

Oh, I think I'm in love.

Any chance you can scan those at their actual size?

I think it's safe to say that we are all very jealous

If you ever decide to mass produce those, count me in for a set.

I really like those, that is cool. I don't know how hard it would be but, would it be possible to do "custom gauges" for people? You know let them send you what design they want and you put them on gauge faces, I feel like that would sell like crazy! Or at least set up a catalog with designs that people could choose from. Sounds like a good money for speed parts source to me. I'm just asking, I have no idea how much of a P.I.T.A it is.

Bottom lke your gauges look killer!

Cool

Well I know this list is to share information, and thats what I try to do.
I will save you all the trouble and searching, I developed the pattern after finally aquiring an actual set of guages, cut n pasted them the way I wanted them to look on my computer, then I cantacted a few distributers that made overlays until I found one that could make them. Here is the Manufacturer; tell them you want JOHN O'Donals Custom pattern for his Lightning, they are a custom set and they are nicer quality (thicker) than the originals.
** make sure they include the "Highbeam" and "Check Engine" which they forgot on my set.opps

You won't believe how they look at night, its awesome

Smile

Hello joe, adam, brian and others,
Well I have gotten alot of email on this one, I spoke to the guy at NUIMAGE and he said the gauges will be cheaper if he gets enough people and he mass produces them, this does me no good I already bought my set.
It all depends on if you want to do a group buy.
It cost me over $200 with shipping but thats because I had to develop exactly what I wanted by "cut n pasted" , and then they had to reproduce the gauges for me on there material.
I looked again at my gauges and they did infact have the Check Engine, Brake, Seatbelt, and Brake lights.
The Gauges are thicker than the stock material and change your dash look completely.
All in All, they were what I wanted and I did not want the regular old White face gauges; I have seen them enough.
check out there website; listed Above in post.
** maybe even design your OWN pattern.

Cool

Dennis,
Rich told me about it, I wrote back that I could not make it due to my wife had other arrangements already (dinner w/friends), I will be in NJ for "fords at Englishtown" in OCT and looking forward to seeing you all again. I will also try to get the guy from PA with that Red 1st Gen truck to showup. He's not online but I will contact him.
Are any of you coming up for FUN FORD weekend next month or the TRUCKIN Nationals on Sept 30th at NEW England Dragway.
I believe Lawerance talked about it.
Hope to see you then

Question

Is it too late to get in on this? Can I just call Pete at Nu-image, or do I have to be on a list that he has?
