Post Tire diameter and rear gears?

Guys Im running 15X10s on the rear with 285/60 27.7inch DOTs on them and stock rear gears.Im wanting to go with P305/60s that are 29.3 inches tall what rear gear should I go with to keep the same Ratio Im running now.4.30s 4.56s or what.Oh and what is the stock size tire 30inches tall?Thanks guys.

stock tires are 30in tall. id say that you would be closer to 430 than 456. go to sn95.com. they have all kinds of gearhead formulas including effective gear ratio. later paul.

Ooo! Ooo! Ooo! MATH!

It's a linear relationship, so it would be 0(larger tire diameter/smaller tire diameter) * smaller tire ratio = larger tire ratio.

So, (29.3/27.7)*4.10 = 4.34. Therefore, 4.30s.

I'm such a nerd.
