| Guest | Every factory disc brake I've seen is vented. That's what the gap between the to sides of the rotor is. Whether or not a rotor can be turned is dependent on the material thickness, not if the rotor is slotted or cross drilled. The slotted or cross drilled rotors do have a tendency to crack more easily than solid rotors, some in less than 20k miles. Maybe he just menat the lifespan of the rotor in general? |

| Guest | I bought the Power Slot rotors for my 93 L and I got the chamfered, drilled type. He told me the slotted type couldnt be turned because the tip on the machine gets caught in the slots. It makes sense, I dont know this from experience, but from a company rep. Hope this helps, Rod K. ------------------ Rod K. 93 Lightning #1529 14.33 @ 93.31 98 SVT Contour E1 #5782 |
