| Guest | Hey all, I just got a Level 10 stall converter put in. I love the way it picks up with the converter only now I can't feel the shifts at WOT, and only slighty feel 2-3 at part throttle. This is with a Transgo shift kit that I previously installed. Should I go with a Level 10 kit or PA valve body, or stick with the Transgo and use a chip. I don't want really hard shifting, just mild like it was with the stock converter and Transgo. Also, any of you guys with a converter, does your truck sometimes take a while to shift into 3rd at part throttle. Other than that, I'm loving it, puts the truck right at the RPMS where the Vortech likes to be. ------------------ Laurence Weiler NLOC #339 13.40 @ 102.88MPH |

| Guest | Dave, I'm pretty much maxed out on the Transgo. My kit only came with one set of springs and the separator plate. The 1-2 shift is drilled as big as its gonna get. I have some room for the 2-3 but why bother if I'm maxed on the 1-2. Should I go with the Level 10 kit or wait live with it until I'm ready for a chip. Also is the long 2-3 shift at part throttle normal? Thanks for any help! ------------------ Laurence Weiler NLOC #339 13.40 @ 102.88MPH |

| Guest | laurence i installed a level 10 shift kit today in my 1994 l .after my powerdyne install the shifts were too soft.i went with larger valve that came with the kit because that is what they reccomended.i love the way it shifts at half throttle on.it easily barks the tires from 1st to2nd and at reg driving it just firmed the shifts up.i really like it. good luck. |

| Guest | I don't know if you guys feel the same thing I did, but I removed my Transgo alltogether because the shifts were so hard and violent. I hated it. I know that for the 6 months that it was in, it did about 3 extra years worth of wear and tear on my driveline. I think my U-Joint will go any minute now. My driveshaft probably looks like a piece of licorice, my diff surely has all kinds of floaties in it, and the Good Lord knows what else it did. I'm sure I could have picked up 2 tenths at the track, but I'd rather have a truck I could stomach on the street. I tried to adjust it, but it was just to rowdy to handle. I suppose I'll never know why it didn't work right... -Kevin in AZ |
