bad times at the valley???

went to street night with my 93 at lebanon valley dragway. My mods are FMS mass air, 30 lb inj, 80mm maf, kenne belle ram air, shorty headers, bassani cat back, intake spacer, underdrives, 180 t-stat, super coil, 10mm plug wires. BAse Timing is at 12 degrees, (because of the FMS timing curves). The truck ran consistant 15.33 @ 88.7 with 2.180 60 foot times, with really bad tire spinning. Very poor traction. The truck was in stock trim without any items removed for wieght reduction. The truck has a class IV hitch, tonneau cover, bedliner, and stereo, plus the factory step bumper and spare, its no lightwieght. The truck went 15.40 @ 88.5, with 2.230 60 foot at atco dragway bone stock with a k&n, 14 degrees, and flowmasters, with good traction. I was expecting high 14's with my recent mods. Is it a traction problem, or does the valley suck? The truck defintely feels faster on the street, disappointed at the track.

Thats about right I think for your mods.Dont think the Mass air really adds any ponys and you dont need 30s yet.So really you are kind of close to being stock.Better traction and lose some pounds(LOL)I beleave you can get 14s.Let us know.Be good if you could turn timing up a bit also.

IMHO the FMS mass air kit hinders performance if anything. I'm trying to get a chip for mine right now to see if I can run better. I've got about the same mods as you plus holley heads and a custom cam 542/543 222/223 (sounds great!) however my times are same as a stock truck. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed. I contribute alot of it to the mass air though.

IT STARTS AT 6PM. ITA A BLACK 94 WITH A POWERDYNE. RIGHT NOW IM RUNNIN IN THE 13.9 RANGE.
