Question How do I get to the 13's?

I have a 93 L with 120 K. Had the trans done by Level 10 10K ago (works awsome) I plan to do the motor this winter. My question is what do you guys think I need to do to get this truck in the 13's- high 12's? I am new to computer controled performance. Should I go with mass air & big cam, injectors, alm heads etc or go with a supercharger? I like the procharger but they dont make one for our trucks.Anybody heard of a kit to put one of these on a lightning? Thanks in advance fou your help.

With 120K I dont think Id put a blower on it now as is.What kind of money are you looking to spend and will you want to go faster than 13flat in the future?
I assume you are going to rebuild the motor.Id stay with the stock intake and go with a good set of heads, and cam.Put forged pistons in.IF you are going to add a blower to that put low compression pistons.Id also add a good stall converter and Mass air.I have just spent alot of money here hehe.Depends on how much money you want to spend really to know what you should do.Im sure someothers will chime in.

I would go for the supercharger! It would be very hard to get a lightning to run 12s on the motor and be streetable, I would just reuse the stock GT 40 heads and spend about $500 in porting, good valve job, springs, Then go with a small blower cam, Low compression pistons and use high boost to make the power! This recepe makes for a nice driver!

Here's the deal.. I need to rebuild the short block..But I want to go a little bigger.. how big of cam can I run before it messes up my driveability..(I'm not planning on converting to mass air).. I would like to see 14.0 though... Or can I go with a Carb setup and still use my AODE.. I don't really want to go the C6 route,, Please help...

Does anyone know if the Speed Density will accomodate a stroker engine?? I'm also planning a rebuild for the future, and I'd like to grow some cubes.

Also, I've got a set of 2.02" Edelbrock heads sitting around from my Stang. Do these heads work well on the L?
