| Guest | I keep reading stuff about WFC but so far no word on FFW or any other series for that matter. Does the NLOC plan on continuing it's title sponsorship for Fun Ford Weekend? Just curious. It would be a shame to drop it I think. There is alot of exposure there...much more than at a single-event deal like WFC. I'm not positive as to the exact numbers but I know the Spring Break Shootout had well over 25,000 spectators just for the one event. Multiply that by 11 and you get some kind of idea what I'm talking about. I bet if the NLOC had some type of booth set up, selling hats, t-shirts, etc...but mainly MEMBERSHIPS, the club would really benefit. ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w. | Guest | Hi Randy Sorry I missed your question. Please feel free to email me hamptonharley@yahoo.com. To answer you question heres what I know about FFW so far.The NLOC will help with TOP Truck at FFW,how much we pay will depend on our revenue.I have had to ask for outside support to even do WFC5.NLOC will have a presence there, but will not be a title sponsor.I have to be honest with you, when I got this club,it was a mess. It's getting straightened out and I even sent your membership out today, shirt card etc.I'll have to talk with Jeff and see what arrangements he made with FFW and I know Sal never got it straight with you,but your a member of the NLOC,and that's a lifetime free thing, I'll make sure of that!!!!Do you know what the arrangement was when Jeff had the club??? Drop me a line or give me a call 1-309-496-1205.I'll be happy to do anything I can to keep you amoung thenranks of the NLOC. | Guest | Actually I have been looking around some for a body. I know the day is coming that we "other guys" are going to get kicked out of the classes. I hope not but it seems like things are heading that way. I have a really clean '93 F-350 4x4 crew cab dually that I am trying to sell. I used it last year to tow my race trailer but I bought a motor home this past Dec. and really don't need that much truck just to drive to work and use for a daily driver. I'd love to find a Lightning, be it G1 or G2 to trade into. You guys keep working on your lights. That's the big difference I see right now. I feel sure that Pat Barrett @ Level 10 Performance Transmissions can make those things leave harder. But there is always a sacrifice. I hated like he!! to put stickers all over my street truck and add a roll bar, but thats what it took to be competitive. If we were all in a hurry to get to the grocery store it would be one thing but we're 'racing' and that reqires certain modifications and sacrifices to run with the regulars in the class. You never know though...I've been beat by 16 second trucks and by 7 second trucks. It's all in whose turn it is on any given day. ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w.
