| Guest | TOP TRUCK Page 91, REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS Add: "Non pick-up trucks or SUV's not permitted." Add: "Air or electronic shifting devices prohibited. Transmission must be shifted by the driver." All Gen 2 Lightning's use an electronic shifting transmission, some with performance chips that tell the tranny when to shift. So does this mean we can't run, or do we have to shift our trucks manually? Something wrong here...... asked for an explanation but no reply yet from Mr Alexander, |

| Guest | No worries. About 99% ot the entries in TopTruck run automatic trannies. As long as it's not shifted by an electric or air solenoid, as in aftermarket shifters, you're safe. Leaving your stock tranny in drive and letting the computer shift it is fine. Just don't get caught with a manual valve body and a solenoid-shifted device on it. ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w.
