Hey all, I'm new here, just bought my black 94 Lightning last week and was wondering if anyone is going to the Norwalk Fun Ford Weekend in July.

It's the weekend of July 13th. I'm going up with some guys from work one with a gt 5.0, the other with a 69 Mach-1, a buddy of mine's most likely coming with his 86ish(not sure about the year) SWEET 5.0 powered ranger, and another guy I know just bought a 93 gt 5.0 might come too.

Don't count on it...we'll be there just as soon as we can get through in Stanton, Michigan the week before. Gotta go collect some from the NMRA.

we will be there we have been there for the last 7 years. this will by my first year without a mustang to race, i have not got my 91 gt finished yet. i have a 93 black lightning with purple and rasberry flames on the fron, eagle wheels. i will either be showing or racing in street ford.

Hey r93...why don't you come on over and run in Top Truck? It's paying $500 to win, the same as Quick Ford and exactly $500 more than Street Ford and there will be way less entries. We need to get the numbers up in our class so come on out and give it a try.

i was going to run in top truck but i see that they are having a qualifying session on friday and i will not be able to get there until friday evening so i may miss one of the qualifying sessions. i may go ahead and sign up for top truck and hope they have time for three qualifying sessions on saturday. the lightning aint real fast but she looks good i think.

If you see a black 95 with an extra
Lightning sticker on the each side and a BIG Ford racing sticker on the tailgate, if u see me say hi. I'll put some for pics of my truck up here.

There having qualifying on Friday?? I'm not going up till saturday!!! Will I even be able to run my Lightning????
I know I wont win anything I just wana get some base-line runs before I do any mods.

Good news guys! Don't worry about the qualifying pass on Friday. We get three chances to qualify and all you need is one to actually make the field. They started doing one for everybody on Friday so that Sat. wouldn't be quite as hectic. And if you just HAVE to have more than 2 runs on Sat., you can enter the Gallop for Gold (Dial for Dollars) for $10 and get another pass plus stand the chance of winning a few more bucks also.

There are lots of guys that don't show up till Sat. and I know of a few that never make more than one qualifying run, irregardless. I don't really agree with that but to each his own I guess.

Now what's this about insatiable, Jeff? I know, I know. I probably should be hoping for fewer trucks so there's less competition, but the fewer trucks that show up, the less the coverage of the class. I prefer to get noticed once in a awhile and you can't do that with 6 or 8 trucks every weekend. So far at 3 FFW events we have been the 2nd biggest class, behind Mod Motor, and that's kinda hard to compete with when they're running for $7500 or $10k at each race. I've griped to Bill Alexander for 2 years now to raise the win money and he finally did, so that's why I preach to everyone to run in Top Truck.

But then again, maybe I am just a wee-bit insatiable. Hey what can I say, I love to race and I love to win even more.........

So if I go on Saturday I will still be able to make a pass on the track? I know with my truck being all stock I probly wont even qualify but like I said, I just wana make a base line run so I know if any mods helped when I start building.
