Is this forum and the NLOC website now slower?

Something is going on! I am have to refresh about every page to get it to show up. It shows done at the bottom and the page is all black, hit the refresh botton and it appears.

Just cleaned and defraged the computer and it is still doing it so my guess it is something to do with the server change.

Mines much slower. Has been slower in general for the last week or so, but tonight, it's like "dial up" slow and I have comcast????

The websites were moved to a faster server on Saturday - so any slowness prior to that is related to something else

The server is now in Chicago when it was in California last week - that may play a small role in your perception of speed - There are currently approx 200 poeple on the 2 major sites and the server load is VERY low. the server load is currently approx 1/5 to1/10 th what it was last week. The site is MUCH quicker for me now than it was before. Ive tested it from a number of operating systems and different connections.

To help figure out why your experience has changed try running a tracert to the server

If you are using windows click start then go to the Run line ( or seach line in Vista ) and type CMD - hit enter and in the black window type tracert nloc.net

and if you can copy and paste the results here - at least post how many hops there are between you and the server and what the max time was in ms

With all but one of the pings under 30 ms and only 9 hops, the site appears VERY fast to me.

there may be things that need to be tweaked BUT we need details to be able to know what to change.

you need to check your spam folder - and make sure your bellsouth.net address is current.
The server has sent you 52 notifications so far since Saturday.
