| wildman | KB failure Well accepting the truth after I tried for 2 days to make this thing work, I give up. Game over, throwing in the towel calling it quits! Here is the deal. All my fabricated parts(midplate-plenum) worked awesome didn't leak or anything so I can say I did something right but I got the truck running with the KB on it and the blower just kept getting louder and louder and tighter too. Soooooo it was locking up on me. After I took the blower apart again I noticed the rotors were still dragging the case. Its repairable with the right tools to smooth the cases but bottom line is that I want a blower that will last as long as the truck does so I decided to spend the cash once instead of "home making" a S/C kit. Whipple 2.3 here I come! Well Im comin whipple but it may take a few months so Im finally putting this project to rest and Im just gonna have to settle for a damn eaton for a while. Oh well. The project wasn't a complete failure, I made friends in the process and I learned how to fabricate and weld. Hopefully I can get 3/4 of my money out of it but whatever live and learn. Can't say I didn't try and at least I admit my mistakes. See yall in oldtown better an eaton than nothin at all. |
