| Disturbing The Peace | HELP!! too much power for stock bottom end My L has a few bolt on mods, pulley, chip , exhaust ect. and last week aftrer winning a race, not in redline or anything, my bottom end came apart. Now im trying to decide between a few things, and need some advice. I found a company in GA (H C Racing) that suggested a few things they could do for me, they have a 5.4 block with .073 overbore (5.62L) it has forged h-beam rods race prepped carnk, probe forged srs pistons ect, so im not worried about broken rods or piston failure again but I havent heard of anyone boring these engine this much. Will this make the cylinder walls too thin or would it be fine. They also said they can build a stroked one for me, again I havent heard of people doing this either and was wondering if it would be fine. This is all just for the short block, I will be using my top end. I want to make it beneficial since Im pulling the whole motor. So I would like do do something like these choices. Any advice on this would be appreciated. |
