| Registered User | silver lightning?? Just was looking thru the build number sticky. For the three years only black/white/red are listed. A buddy of mine had purchased a brand new silver lightning, (also remember another guy at the track had one) pretty sure it was a 95. What’s the story on the silver? |

| Registered User | I know it wasn’t a clone, He purchased it brand spanking new from the dealer! (Manderbach Ford) He had it for less then a year, kept having trany problems plus It got bad mileage and he had to drive 2 hours to work. I don’t want to start off with a controversial post but it was original silver I worked on this truck for the kid. And there was a big guy at Friday night grudge racing at Maple Grove (back in 96-97) that had a silver one with an Ed quay aluminum wing (spelling) on the tailgate and 5.0 nitrous system that I always spoke with. Both of these trucks were that same exact color! Were these some kind of factory freaks buy ford? ![]() |

| Moderator Paid Member | The only silver one I know of was Dave Pickrel's truck. He painted it silver and it was just flawless. Twin turbo truck that he sold in the last yr or so. And I've seen pics of a dsg one that was repainted. My guess is the dealer must have repainted it silver for some reason before it was sold. 95s were black, red or white. I don't know of any factory exceptions but I guess anything's possible. |
