Cam roller or flat tappet

I am getting conflicting info on whether the 93 is FT or roller. Since this affects my choice in a replacement distro, I figured I better ask.

Thanks

Early '93s were flat tappet and later was roller.
The only way to findout for sure is to look at the part number on the block. It's right above the starter. If it starts with an F4, it's a roller block.
This is just to show you what you are looking for. This is actually my '74 block.

AFAIK, none of the Gen 1 Lightnings came with a roller cam. The F4TE block, usually found in 94-95 Lightnings, is roller capable, but Henry installed a flat tappet in all Lightnings for some unknown reason.
